We establish direct relationships with tea gardens, actively engaging in tastings and assessments of novel varieties. Seasonally, we handpick the most outstanding batches, typically selecting only two to three premier offerings from each producer for our discerning clientele. Organic integrity is a focal point of our sourcing ethos. While some partner gardens hold USDA Organic or equivalent certifications, we collaborate with select small family farms that uphold organic practices, even if lacking formal certification. To ensure authenticity, we personally inspect these farms.
Tea production from trees, notably pu'ers and other varieties excluding oolongs, possesses unique nuances. The lush natural forests and fertile soils of Thailand foster an organic environment for tea tree growth, obviating the need for artificial fertilizers. While only a few Puér facilities pursue organic certification, Thai tree teas benefit from inherently organic production conditions. It's worth noting that Thailand's tea cultivation predominantly comprises trees rather than Assamica plantations.
